BABY VERSION ROCK Is a French brand, based in Barcelona since 2003, designed by Murielle Maitre Cohen. A collection made of love, initially not supposed to be repeated and sold, but the best kids stores saw it and it went into production.
Graduated from Esmod Paris with a special fashion award from J.C de Castelbajac, Murielle gained her knowledge in Paris and Milan, working for PETIT BATEAU, FACONNABLE, KENZO, POLO RALPH LAUREN and ALVIERO MARTINI before mooving to the island of Bali. There, she focused on sourcing & production. When her son Sacha was born , she could not find what she would have liked him to wear, so she created something “rock” in a “baby version”. It was an intuitive start, a very personnal philosophy that turned into design. A little later she extended the line with a girl collection also, she is now considering the idea of designing the woman collection. She also works as a freelance consultant for few upmarket clothing brands & an interior design company.
Sweetness & boldness for those children who are no longer afraid of the night and can wear black, basic color of the line. Prints are exclusive & hand-designed for us.
Miniature collection rock, bohemian and glamour for boys & girls from three months to twelve years.
It is not mass-produced and each piece has its own touch. The collection is based on the concept of a grown-ups closet like a “mini-me” wardrobe. The styles are simple, season less and we keep it rock!
Our “art director” Sacha, who has now turned six, gives his opinion on every piece and print of the whole Collection. This rock/bohemian brand is secretly designed in the trendy part of Barcelona called " El Born". The fine yarns fro the winter comes from the best Italian supliers and collections are produced in Spain, Portugal, Bali & France, depending on the product. Extra soft cottons comes from India and Turkia with a special wash that makes it light as a feather. We select our supliers for their authentic " savoir-faire". Great reasons to keep us travelling around the world also!
